THE THREE TUBES!

• T5 - 5/8” diameter tube
• T8 - 1” tube (most common)
• T12 - 1 1/2" (fat) tube

The number attached to the 'T' represents the diameter of the tube. The diameter has no bearing on the output or effectiveness of the tube.* It is the high output part of SunBlaster T5's that really makes the difference.

*Joel, a visitor to the site and a SunBlaster customer pointed out the following: "This is actually not true. When you use T12 lamps, over an aquarium at least, the light that is emitted from the top of the lamp bounces off the reflector and, because the lamp is so large, it gets pulled right back into the lamp. With T5 lamps, the tube is so much smaller which means the light that goes back into the lamp (and wasted) is greatly reduced."

SUNBLASTER COMPACT FLUORESCENT LIGHTS

SunBlaster CFL’s are high output lamps with a low energy built in self-ballasted fixture. These all-purpose bulbs are for use in the garden, office, warehouse, classroom, household, or anywhere else flicker free lighting is desired.

SunBlaster Lighting™ lamps come in a range of colour spectrums from 3000K (warm) to FULL Spectrum 6400K (daylight) Perfect for plants, commercial warehouses or the home.

CFL's are an excellent cost effective replacement for expensive power-drawing Incandescent bulbs, Mercury Vapor and Metal Halide bulbs.
